I am Sam, one half of the dynamic duo that makes up Eagle Ridge Fitness.

I have years of experience in the health and fitness industry, and together with my partner Laurie, we have developed a deep understanding of what it takes to achieve lasting results. Together, we are certified personal trainers and nutrition experts and have helped countless clients reach their fitness goals and transform their lives. Sam’s Wellness Journey:

I’m embarrassed to admit that I haven’t always been practicing what I was preaching. I struggled with my weight in different phases of my life. Recently for a few years, I let myself go.
I had depression, anxiety, and grief over the disappearance of my father who suffered from Alzheimer’s disease. He’s still missing, and to ease the pain and grief, I resorted to comfort food. I started to gain weight slowly as the months went by and went from 170 pounds to weighing in over 212 pounds. I started snoring. I had low energy and needed to drink energy drinks to get through the day. My knees, my joints, and my lower back started to ache with the added weight.
